The following resource is meant to give readers an overview of the Russian military through a look at news reports issued from June to September of 2008. SRAS decided to follow and collect this news after the US Department of Defense named Russia as a significant threat in its Annual National Defense Strategy. We hope to make this a regular quarterly publication. For more obzori (news reviews) on other issues, see the newsletter for this corresponding month.
