The Cuban-Russian Connection

The Cuban-Russian Connection will spend one week experiencing Cuba in tradition and transition and then move to three weeks of course work and excursions in St. Petersburg, Russia.

We will learn to reflect upon and better understand religious traditions, issues, questions, and values in Georgia, as well as extensively travel this diverse and picturesque country.

Kyrgyz Summer Adventure

The Kyrgyz Summer Adventure Program combines three weeks of intensive language study in Bishkek and one week of horse-trekking through rugged Central Asian mountains!

This wide-ranging course allows students to chose from courses in history, Jewish studies, security, political science, sociology, and more. Semester courses offer a particular focus on today's security issues (cybersecurity, information warfare, etc.)

Students will visit Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, and Russia and will discuss the conflicts in these states, both past and present, with local students, teachers, and experts.

Leave the city behind – move to a Russian village to collect old songs and folk tales, film the spring rituals, and dance with the New Year's masqueraders. This is the Russia you definitely won't meet in the classroom!
