Russian Studies Semester at GRINT

Russian Studies Semester is designed to provide the coursework and cultural experience for international studies students hoping to build a professional career with ties to Russia and the NIS. Required courses set the foundation for understanding this part of the world – its history, current events, culture and the arts, economy, and politics. A range of electives allows students to pursue individual interests. All courses are taught in English and are designed to fulfill credit requirements in multiple areas. More advanced speakers of Russian will be given additional resources.

TORFL at GRINT

GRINT Center for Education is a member of National Network of Institutions, uniting the leading Russian Universities, Colleges and Schools, where international students can take the Test of Russian as a Foreign language (TORFL). GRINT runs a specially designed Intensive Program for TORFL Preparation that may be taken in conjunction with the Russian Studies Semester. Students take the TORFL on the premises of GRINT. For details on this program, see the Russian Studies Semester description (see "customize your program").

About GRINT and MosGU

GRINT is located in the South-Eastern part of Moscow in a beautiful area not far from the famous XVII century Kuskovo Estate with its park and lakes. GRINT is located on the campus of the Moscow University for Humanities (MosGU).

MosGU is situated on 150 acres of land within the city limits of Moscow. There are over 20 buildings on its territory, all modern and well equipped. The recreation facilities include cafes and a cafeteria, an indoor swimming pool, basketball court, gym, sauna, tennis court, soccer field, and, in the winter, cross-country skiing within the MosGU's grounds. It is very much like a typical small private liberal arts college in the United States.

Programs Available in Moscow:

I feel like I have made progress in the first two weeks of language instruction and hope to buckle down this week and move along. I've joined the university's soccer team so that gives me training about 4 times a week and soon we will start having games, I believe. GRINT is awesome, soo helpful with anything and everything you need.
