is pleased to announce that the
4th VGIK International Summer School
July 3 - 20, 2012, Yaroslavl, Russia

This year the Summer School will be held in one of the most ancient cities of Russia – Yaroslavl, which belongs to Golden Ring cities and whose historic part is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

VGIK invites students that are currently enrolled in Film Direction, Cinematography, Film Production Departments of film schools.

All questions about this event should be sent directly to VGIK. The School of Russian and Asian Studies (SRAS) may assist students in obtaining visas, proper insurance, and with other services not provided by VGIK. Contact us to find out how.

This event is tuition-free. SRAS Scholarships and grants to not apply to this program. All questions and inquiries should be sent directly to VGIK.

Please submit by May 20, 2011 as follows:

• filled-in application form

• electronic photo

• trailer of the film shot during studies at their schools (documentary or feature, subtitled in English) or link of the video.

• Synopsis or notes explaining the desire or the vision of the story to be shot in Yaroslavl.
