SRAS team members are actively involved with organizations dedicated to the study of Russian and Russia and to connecting students and professionals with similar goals in these fields. We recommend that students also get to know these organizations.

NAFSA: Association of International Educators promotes the exchange of students and scholars to and from the United States. The members share a belief that international educational exchange advances learning and scholarship, builds respect among different peoples and encourages constructive leadership in a global community.

AATSEEL: American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages dedicated to the support of teaching Slavic languages and literatures. It is the only professional association dedicated specifically to these fields.

AAASS: The American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies (AAASS) is a nonprofit, nonpolitical, scholarly society which is the leading private organization dedicated to the advancement of knowledge about Russia, Central Eurasia, and Eastern and Central Europe.

USRCCNE: The U.S.-Russia Chamber of Commerce of New England, Inc. (USRCCNE) is a non-profit business organization for companies and professional individuals involved with economic activity in Russia and the other republics of the former Soviet Union.

CESS: The Central Eurasian Studies Society (CESS) is a private, non-political, non-profit, North America-based organization of scholars who are interested in the study of Central Eurasia, and its history, languages, cultures, and modern states and societies.

SRAS Director, Renee Stillings, is also a co-founder and partner of Alinga Consulting Group in Moscow, Russia. Alinga is an active member in the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia and the Association of European Businesses.
