PROGRAMS  / VISITING SCHOLAR

Visiting Scholar
at Russian Universities

Visiting Scholar is one of our most popular and flexible options. Essentially, this places foreign students in Russian universities for a set length of time (not a full degree). Visiting scholars have access to all courses regularly offered by a university as well as letters of university affiliation, which are of great assistance in gaining access to archives, offices, and individuals that are often closed to others. Undergraduates find this option most valuable during their junior or senior year as a combination of higher language study with lectures and assisted research directed toward a thesis. Graduate work as a visiting scholar may involve an extended period of research, study and travel as an integrated part of a degree at home or as research toward a dissertation or master’s thesis.
