Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan

Why The London School?

The London School is a fully accredited private language school in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Founded in 1998, the School has been catering to private individuals and clients such as the UNDP, the US Embassy, and USAID projects with Russian and Kyrgyz language courses. The London School offers a wide array of language, history, and cultural lessons, combined with extensive excursions at extremely competitive prices.

Featured Services and Programs

The London School is an especially appropriate choice for "outdoorsy" students and those interested in truly submerging themselves in a foreign land and culture. Combine your language lessons with an array of flexible, inexpensive excursions including crafts lessons, village home stays, and "trekking" - exploring the countryside on horseback while practicing your language skills!

Employment Opportunities

While The London School is one of Central Asia's most affordable schools, students may further subsidize their experience abroad by teaching English at the School. Teachers teach four days a week, with just four 80 min lessons a day to a friendly and diverse group of students of various levels and backgrounds. Teachers are provided with a large and comfortable apartment, free of charge.

The teachers coordinate joint classes very well and were attentive to my needs. I am an anthropologist studying post-Soviet notions of morality. The administration was extremely helpful linking me with local villages in the Issyk-Kul Region where I could conduct research.

I arrived with a good base in Russian and I've definitely improved on that through plenty of conversation practise and by covering interesting texts in class.
