Students in St. Petersburg What can SRAS do for you?

We help students not only study abroad, but also to research and publish, free and from the comfort of their homes, material concerning any topic within the geographic region of the CIS.

SRAS students come from around the globe. Some are on study abroad from their home universities while others have either taking a "year off" or are embarking on a full degree program overseas.

Many SRAS students have won grants and scholarships for study in Russia and often begin working with SRAS during their scholarship/grant application process. SRAS also now offers its own grants for language study and research.  This provides a better understanding of the resources available to them in Russia, often contributing to a more unique proposal and experience abroad.

Our students have also served internships with major newspapers, NGOs, museums, businesses, and other institutions.  Some have even landed jobs and/or done some great volunteer work while in Russia.  We have interviewed a number about their experiences with us, in Russia, and with interning/working in Russia.  Internships within SRAS are also now available, with some compensation.

Our students also have many different academic and career paths concerning Russia.  We realize the importance of continuing our relationship with our students even after their program ends to make sure their credits transfer and to help them achieve their eventual professional goals.

Our reputation has been built largely by word of mouth, from what past students have said about us, and from what educators and advisors have said about us

We hope that you will find our site useful and hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

The SRAS Team
